An 18-year-old man remained in jail Monday, pending charges, after his arrest on suspicion of murder and terroristic threatening following a manhunt in Kahaluu and Kaneohe on Sunday afternoon.

Police arrested the man at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Lamaula Road in Kaneohe after an hours-long search following the shooting of a 65-year-old man at a home at Waihee Road and Kamehameha Highway

Police say the suspect shot a 65-year-old man in the head just after noon Sunday. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital,  where he died at 7:15 p.m.

There were two other men in the house at the time of the shooting, police said.

The suspect allegedly threatened to shoot a 36-year-old man, who fled the home and called police. He also allegedly stole a wallet from a 17-year-old man.
