Kapolei man charged with allegedly choking girlfriend

A 32-year-old Kapolei man was charged with allegedly choking and detaining his girlfriend at his home during an argument this week.

Police said the incident occurred at 10:20 p.m. Sunday.

James B. Dooley was arguing with his 28-year-old girlfriend when the argument escalated and the suspect allegedly threatened and choked the victim. Police said the suspect refused to allow the woman leave his home.
