Kauai police and the Department of Parks and Recreation are asking for the public’s help in finding those responsible for recent vandalism at public parks on Kauai.

A portion of artificial turf at the Koloa Ball Park was cut and stolen.

Park officials say the theft occurred between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

Playground resurfacing cost $11,000 and another $1,400 to replace the damaged portion.

Other vandalism includes damage to a toilet at Kapaa Beach Park on June 7 or June 8.

Call police at 241-1711 or CrimeStoppers at 241-1887.
