An 85-year-old man hit by a car in Ewa Beach on Nov. 8, died Thursday at the Queen’s Medical Center.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office identified the man as James N. Gresham of Kaneohe.

Police said Gresham was hit as he crossed Hanakahi Street, near Pailani Street, outside of a crosswalk, at about 6:10 p.m. by a car driven by a 78-year-old Ewa Beach woman.

Police said it was raining at the time. Gresham was taken to the hospital in guarded condition.

Police counted Gresham’s death as the 11th traffic fatality on Oahu this year, compared to 11 at this time last year.

Also today, the Medical Examiner’s Office released autopsy results on Clarita Ocol, a 67-year-old who was hit by a pickup truck on Tuesday in Kalihi.

Ocol died of blunt force injuries to the head, neck, torso, and extremities, the Medical Examiner’s office said. Her death was ruled an accident.

Ocol was in a North King Street crosswalk near Gulick Avenue when a truck hit her at about 6 a.m.
