Man charged with damaging wife’s vehicle in domestic dispute

A 28-year-old Waianae man was charged Friday with first-degree criminal property damage after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into his wife’s vehicle during a domestic dispute on Wednesday.

A police report did not disclose whether the suspect’s wife was in her vehicle at the time of the alleged incident or if she was injured.

Joshua Gualdarama was charged Friday. His bail was set at $50,000.

In 2008, Gualdarama was convicted of first-degree criminal property damage, possession of a loaded weapon, first-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree assault after he fired gunshots into a crowd during a melee at a 2007 graduation party in Waianae. His criminal record also includes more recent convictions for theft, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and harassment.
