A man in his 30s nearly drowned Monday afternoon while snorkeling in waters off Hawaii Kai, Emergency Medical Services reported.
Paramedics responded to a 1:30 p.m. call for a near drowning at Maunalua Bay.
He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in serious condition.
