Man held in stabbing near Kapiolani Boulevard

Police have opened an attempted murder investigation after a 42-year-old man allegedly stabbed another man Saturday night near Kapiolani Boulevard and Kaaha Street. 

A man in his 40s or 50s was stabbed in the 11 p.m. incident and taken to the hospital in serious condition, Emergency Medical Services said. An EMS spokeswoman said she did not know where the man was stabbed or how many times.

Police arrested the 42-year-old suspect at his home on Kapiolani Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, according to police documents. He has not yet been charged.
