The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 71-year-old Waikiki man who died when he fell beneath a city bus in June as Kenneth Martyn.

Police said Martyn was attempting to board the bus through a side door and fell when the bus pulled away from the curb on June 28. The bus apparently ran over the man’s legs, police said. Paramedics took him to the Queen’s Medical Center, where he later died.

Martyn’s death was the second bus-related pedestrian fatality in three days last month.

On June 26, Dominador Aguilar Jr.,  55, was hit and killed by a city bus before dawn at North King Street, and Russell Lane died in Kalihi.
