Longtime Hawaii auto dealer Mike McKenna has sold his familiar Kailua dealership to a California-based businessman.
Jay Gill has five automobile dealerships in California selling 11 different brands, and has additional business interests, according to the dealership’s new General Manager Aiyaz Dean, a 28-year veteran of the Hawaii automotive industry.
The Kailua dealership was sold for undisclosed terms and will do business going forward as Windward Ford Hawaii.
The new management plans to offer free safety checks to any active duty service member with a valid military ID, Dean said.
