A mild earthquake was recorded off Waimanalo this morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The magnitude 3.5 tremor struck at 10:31 a.m. about 8 miles east of Waimanalo Beach and 12 miles east-southeast of Kailua, at a depth of nearly 21 miles, according to the USGS.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach said the quake did not generate a tsunami.

The USGS received several dozen responses on their “did you feel it?” webpage for the quake. All the responses were from Oahu, with the farthest being 39 miles away in Kapolei.
