Police arrested a 42-year-old woman on suspicion of assault Friday morning after her 20-month-old son ingested dangerous drugs while she was caring for him at their Pearl City home, police records state.
Police said the boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The woman was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Friday on suspicion of second-degree assault, police said.
