Police arrested a 27-year-old woman who allegedly assaulted a police officer in Waikiki Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a report of a woman refusing to leave and hiding behind a dryer at about 11:30 p.m.

Officers arrested the woman, who did not give police a local address, at 2566 Lemon Road for investigation of first-degree assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Police records indicate she had an outstanding warrant and bail was set at $5,000.
