Police are looking for a man who reportedly robbed a 37-year-old man 4:05 a.m. today at a Makiki park.

Police said the suspect had engaged the other man in conversation while at the park. When it ended, the victim walked away.

The suspect caught up to him, then allegedly struck him with a dangerous instrument and demanded his possessions, police said.

The victim complied with his demands, and the suspect fled, police said.

Responding patrol officers could not find the suspect.

Police have opened a first-degree robbery case.
