The pool at Wahiawa District Park is closed after a pump failed and replacement parts arrive from the mainland, according to a news release.

The city  Department of Parks and Recreation said maintenance crew discovered this week that the pool pump had failed and attempted to repair it, but determined that they need replacement parts from the mainland to complete the fix.

The pool will be reopened as soon as the malfunctioning equipment is repaired, the city said Thursday.

The pool is normally open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for lap swim and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for free swim, and weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for free swim.  A swim team practices in the pool on Fridays.
