Routine arrest leads to more charges

Police say a man sought for outstanding warrants was connected to a Waimanalo burglary Tuesday afternoon.

When police tried to arrest him, he allegedly assaulted an officer.

Police said the arrest happened at about 3 p.m. The suspect matched the description of the suspect in a burglary that had just happened, police said.

Officers arrested the 23-year-old man for on the warrants and suspicion of burglary and assault on a police officer.
