Suspect sought in Makiki attempted sex assault case

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly pushed a woman off her bike and attempted to sexually assault her early Thursday morning near Makiki District Park.

Police said victim  was riding her bicycle at 3 a.m. to a friend’s house and stopped on Wilder Avenue near Keeaumoku Street.  The suspect — a man in his 20s — pushed her off the bicycle, and attempted to sexually assault her. The victim was able to fend off her attacker.

The suspect fled on foot on Keeaumoku Street.

Police said the suspect is 5-feet 7-inches to 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing 170 to 180 pounds with brown, way, shoulder-length hair.
