Prosecutors Tuesday charged a 26-year-old Waianae man with allegedly choking his 22-year-old girlfriend Monday.
Police arrested Shane Gasperson Monday morning at his home for felony abuse of a household member.
Gasperson allegedly shoved his girlfriend to the ground, then choked her from behind, police said.
Proseuctors charged him with the abuse, a Class C felony.
His bail was set at $45,000.
