An 18-year-old Waipahu man was arrested for allegedly forcing his way into a woman’s home early Sunday morning.

Police said the woman heard a noise in her yard and saw the suspect at her door. When confronted, the suspect asked to enter the residence but was refused.

According to police, the suspect forced his way past the woman, who then fled to a neighbor’s house and called police.

The suspect was found hiding in the residence and arrested on suspicion of second-degree unauthorized entry into a dwelling.

No property was taken and no injuries were reported.
