LONDON (AP) — The cyclist who stumbled upon the British couple killed in a remote spot in the French Alps says the blood-soaked crime scene was something out of a Hollywood film.

Saad al-Hilli, his wife Iqbal, her mother and an unrelated French cyclist were shot dead in a forested area near France’s Lake Annecy, a baffling murder that has shocked people on both sides of the English Channel.

William Brett Martin told BBC television that when he discovered the al-Hillis’ car its engine was still revving and its wheels were spinning.

He said he saw the family’s eldest daughter, now identified as 7-year-old Zaina, stumbling around in front of the vehicle covered in blood.

Martin’s comments were broadcast Thursday.
