Woman allegedly uses stolen passport to try to cash check

A 51-year-old Moanalua woman could face a half-dozen criminal charges after she allegedly attempted to cash a check using a stolen passport.

The woman attempted to cash the check at a University Avenue area business on Friday using a passport belonging to a 32-year-old woman.

Upon arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of a glass pipe and a bag containing what appeared to be crystal methamphetamine residue.

The woman was arrested on suspicion second-degree forgery, second-degree attempted theft, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, third-degree identity theft, and two counts of third-degree possession of a dangerous drug.
