Alex O'Laughlin, Taryn Mannign, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, the stars of the new Hawaii Five-O series, are greeted by the Sunset on the Beach crowd.

Thousands of eager fans of "Hawaii Five-0" flocked to Queen’s Surf Beach this evening for a Sunset on the Beach sneak-preview of the CBS reboot of the popular crime drama.

Many lined a roped-off red carpet where the show’s stars and producers made a regal entrance after 6:30 p.m. A packed beach of 5,000 fans screamed their names as they waited for CBS to screen the series pilot a full week ahead of its network premiere.

The invited guests are expected to include some of the surviving stars of the show, including Al Harrington, who played Ben in 64 episodes, and Jimmy Borges, who played several different parts.

Also scheduled to attend were the three daughters of the Leonard Freeman, the original show’s creator: Robin Freeman Bernstein, Lisa Freeman and Susan Freeman Mann. Freeman died in 1974.

The new "Five-0" stars Alex O’Loughlin as Steve McGarrett, Scott Caan as Danny "Danno" Williams, Daniel Dae Kim as Chin Ho Kelly and Grace Park as Kono.

It was created by executive producers Peter Lenkov, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. All were scheduled to attend the screening.
