Allegedly fraudulent cash refund leads to shopper’s arrest

A 48-year-old Kalihi man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly obtained a fraudulent cash refund from the Home Depot on Alakawa Street.

The suspect was stopped outside the store by a security officer and detained until police arrived.

He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.
