Honolulu police released this image of a suspect wearinga motorcycle helmet who held up the McDonald's in Mililani at gunpoint early Saturday morning.

Police are searching for a man who robbed a McDonald’s restaurant at gunpoint this morning in Mililani.

Police said the man wearing a motorcycle helmet walked into the restaurant at 95-281 Kipapa Drive about 4:30 a.m., took out a semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money from the cashier and manager. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the man was about 5 feet 5 inches tall, possibly in his 20s, with a medium build.

He was wearing a long-sleeved green shirt with padded shoulders, brown shorts, and a black, red and white helmet with a shaded visor.

Police said another incident was reported in Kunia about an hour later, involving a man who matched the description of the Mililani robber. He was seen leaving on a dirt bike.

Shortly afterwards, an officer saw a man matching the description on Kunia Road at Wilikina Drive, but lost him at Lake View Circle.

Further details on the Kunia incident were not immediately available.
