A 23-year-old Kaneohe man who was chased down by two women after he allegedly broke into their neighbor’s Kailua home is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Micah K. Aiu, of Ohala Street, has been charged with first-degree burglary and is being held on $11,000 bail.

Police said the women, ages 57 and 32, heard a burglar alarm go off at a 40-year-old neighbor’s home about 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

They noticed a window screen ajar and confronted Aiu on the property. He fled and the women ran after him, police said.

The women and other neighbors held Aiu until officers arrived and arrested him on Kaapuni Drive at 1 p.m.
