Fire investigators were unable to determine the cause of an April 8 Enchanted Lake House fire.

The fire originated at the back of the house in the outside patio, but investigators could not determine a cause because of the extensive damage, said Honolulu Fire Department spokesman David Jenkins.

The fire displaced two men and six dogs who lived at the rented home located at 401 Keolu Drive.

The two men were injured, and were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Two other men who assisted the men and tried to douse the flames with hoses were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Damage to the house, its contents and vehicles was estimated at $600,000.
