Crews aid injured tourist in West Maui pools
Maui fire rescue personnel assisted a 55-year-old visitor from Vancouver, Wash., who suffered an injured ankle at the Olivine Pools in West Maui.
Rescuers arriving at the scene around 5:30 p.m. splinted the woman’s injured foot then carried her a half-mile up a steep trail to her own vehicle.
No medical transport was necessary.
