The University of Hawaii’s first road football game this season, the Sept. 10 appearance against Washington in Seattle, will be picked up by the Root Sports network, UW announced. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. (Hawaii time).

Root, which was formerly known as Fox Sports Network Northwest, is owned by DirecTV, and has a potential audience of 3.7 million households in five northwest states. It also aires Seattle Mariner baseball, Washington State and Oregon State events.

It was not immediately known if the game will be available on either of the planned pay-per-view offerings in Hawaii.
