North King Street in Kalihi reopened, downed pole repaired

This traffic camera image shows North King Street and Kalihi Street this afternoon after police reopened the road. The portion of North King Street between Kalihi Street and Mokauea Street was closed from about 2:30 a.m. to about 5:30 p.m. due to a downed utility pole.

Police reopened North King Street between Kalihi Street and Mokauea Street just before 5:30 p.m. today.

Repairs to the downed utility pole and utility lines have been completed, police said.

Police closed the section of North King Street at around 2:30 a.m.

While repairs were underway today traffic signals at Kalihi Street, Mokauea Street, Likelike Highway and North School Street were not working.

During that time only one eastbound lane of King Street remained open.
