Pulu Sese was sentenced to 10 years for killing two people, his brother, Samson, 12, and Jennifer Parsons, who was travelling in another car, in a Jan. 1, 2011 multiple-car crash on Kunia Road.

A drunk driver who caused a five-car crash that killed his 12-year-old brother and another motorist was sentenced in state court this morning to 10 years in prison for negligent homicide.

Pulu Sese, 23, was behind the wheel of a car that started a chain reaction crash Jan. 1, 2011, on Kunia Road.

Sese’s car crashed into a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction driven by Jennifer Parsons, 42, of Waianae. The impact ejected Sese and his youngest brother Samson Kautai, from their vehicle. Kautai was a rear seat passenger.

Parsons and Kautai were pronounced dead at the scene.

The state says Sese’s car was traveling 78 mph in a 35 mph zone and that his blood alcohol content was 0.18. The legal threshold for drunk driving is 0.08.
