A two-alarm fire Saturday night destroyed his house on Crozier Drive

Honolulu firefighters returned Sunday to the charred remains of a single-family home in Waialua after neighbors reported smoke rising from the debris.

Honolulu fire Capt. David Jenkins said a fire investigator is still trying to determine the cause of the fire and said damages are estimated at $490,000.

The two-alarm blaze was reported at 6:49 p.m. Saturday on Crozier Drive. Arriving firefighters found the structure fully involved.

Jenkins said one resident was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to the hospital by paramedics.

Neighbors said the resident, a 90-year-old woman, lived alone in the house and was rescued by her tenants.
