Firefighters rescued a 26-year-old woman who fell off a trail today on the Windward side.

After slipping between the first and second peaks on Olomana Trail, the woman was able to get back on the trail with the help of bystanders, but couldn’t hike out, said Honolulu Fire Capt. Robert Main.

A fire helicopter picked her up and took her to a waiting ambulance at Maunawili Valley Neighborhood Park shortly after 2 p.m., Main said. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
