Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a Nanakuli home Wednesday night.
Ten fire companies responded to the two-alarm fire in the 87-400 block of Hakimo Road at about 6:15 p.m. and found the single-story family home engulfed in flames, said Honolulu Fire Department Capt. David Jenkins.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 6:46 p.m. and extinguished it by 7:17 p.m.
One man was home and escaped without injury.
Damage to the home and its contents is estimated at $190,000.
