The National Weather Service has cancelled a flood advisory for Oahu after rain falling at rates of 1.5 inches an hour stalled over the windward coast.

Locations in the advisory included Ahuimanu, Punaluu, Waiahole, Waikane, Laie, Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, Kahaluu and Kaaawa.

The weather service says the current pattern of hot, humid mornings with light winds and afternoon showers, some heavy, is likely to continue for most of the week until the tradewinds return on Friday.
