Hawaii County police look for missing Keaau woman

    Hawaii County police are looking for Karissa Hirahara, who has been reported missing.

Hawaii County police are asking the public’s help in locating a missing 24-year-old Keaau woman.

According to police, Karissa Hirahara has a medical condition that requires medication.

Hirahara, who was last seen in Keaau on March 24, is described as Japanese, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 170 to 175 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink sleeveless shirt, a brown jacked with laces on the sleeves, and black shorts.

Police said she may be in the lower Puna area.

Anyone with information on Hirahara’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 935-3311, Detective Wendall Carter at 961-2378, or CrimeStoppers at 961-8300.
