Hawaii Kai woman charged with assaulting paramedic

 A 44-year-old Hawaii Kai woman is scheduled to make her first appearance in Honolulu District Court today for allegedly assaulting a 54-year-old Emergency Medical Services paramedic.

Katherine M. Ko was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Queen’s Medical Center, 1301 Punchbowl St., after allegedly injuring an on-duty paramedic 3:42 p.m. Saturday.

Prosecutors charged Ko with second-degree assault. Her bail was set at $15,000.
