Hawaii and the rest of the nation are observing Veterans Day.

Federal, state and city-county offices are closed Thursday, along with schools, libraries and most banks. However, stock exchanges are open. There will be no mail delivery.

On Oahu, a Veterans Day Ceremony is set for 10 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.

Honolulu’s public bus system is running on a Saturday schedule, and on-street parking is free.

There is regular trash pickup, and city landfills are open.
