One of Hawaiian Airlines’ two new Airbus A330-200 jets is under repair today after it was turned around in mid-flight yesterday because of a warning signal, a company spokesman said today.
The aircraft departed from Honolulu Airport for Los Angeles about 1:15 p.m., but turned around when a low oil pressure indicator came on about an hour into the flight.
Back in Honolulu, repair crews found the pump had a faulty part and ordered a replacement part. Engineers were installing it today, the spokesman said.
Hawaiian Airlines put the passengers on the second Airbus 330 aircraft, which left last night at 6.
