A high surf advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Surf along east-facing shores is expected to be 8 to 12 feet, while west-facing shores are expected to see 10- to 15-foot surf.

Strong breaking waves and shore break are to be expected. Powerful longshore and rip currents may make swimming difficult and dangerous.

Beachgoers, swimmers and surfers should use caution and heed advice given by ocean safety officials.
