Hiker airlifted from Makapuu Tide Pools

Firefighters airlifted a hiker in distress near the Makapuu Tide Pools on Saturday morning.

A Honolulu Fire Department spokesman said five fire companies with 16 personnel responded to reports of a 46-year-old female having a medical emergency near the tide pools.

The woman was stabilized and airlifted to a nearby landing zone.
