Star-Advertiser reporter Marcel Honore is in Pago Pago for the third leg of the Hokule'a Worldwide Voyage.

Blow the conch shell: Hokule’a and Hikianalia appear to be a go for an 11:30 a.m. local time departure from Pago Pago Harbor, bound for Apia to meet United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and other dignitaries and partners.

We weren’t expecting this much sail drama this early but it is what it is. And it looks choppy out there.

Here we go — should be an eventful sail for the crew.  (And I hope typing this blog doesn’t jinx us actually leaving.)

I’ll be writing next from Apia I hope!
