Police arrested a 17-year-old boy Thursday after a burglary at a Keeaumoku Street apartment prompted a manhunt in the area.

Police said the suspect was searching the Makiki apartment at around 11 a.m. when he was surprised by the 49-year-old man who lives in the apartment.

The suspect fled, but was caught around 1:45 p.m. and arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
