Three humpback whales spent about an hour in the waters off Ehukai Beach Park on April 5.
Like a Photoshop image come to life, two humpback whales made a stunning appearance within a massive wave cresting off Oahu’s North Shore on April 5.
Quick-fingered photographers and videographers were able to catch the surreal moment when the two whales — a mother and calf — became visible in the midst of a set of big waves.
The images went viral this week as Facebook fanatics, Instagrammers and news organizations from the Daily Mail to the Huffington Post exhausted the available supply of bad whale puns.
