More than 1,500 people in Kauai are hoping to land one of at least 50 spots in the background in the next “Jurassic Park” sequel.

The Garden Island newspaper reported Monday (http://bit.ly/1meEN1W ) that those who auditioned for “Jurassic World” were asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement by the film’s production company, EEB Tide Productions.

The new movie is expected to use popular filming spots on Kauai, including Lawai, Olokele and Manawaiopuna Falls.

Kauai is the same island where 1993’s “Jurassic Park” was filmed. The dinosaur movie is based on Michael Crichton’s series of novels.
