A two-car crash on Kauai this morning left a woman from Las Vegas dead and injured an 80-year-old man on Kaumualii Highway in Puihi, Kauai officials said.
A female driver heading east on Kaumualii Highway crossed the centerline just west of the Anonui Road intersection and crashed into a westbound vehicle around 9:45 a.m., authorities said, citing a preliminary report.
The 22-year-old woman died at the scene. The other driver, an 80-year-old Koloa man, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
