Makaha fire investigations turned over to police

Honolulu police are looking for the person or group of people who started a brush fire that scorched two acres onKili Drive in Makaha Valley last night.

The fire was reported at 9:30 last night, but did not threaten any private property, a fire spokesman said. An incendiary device was found at the scene and the case was turned over to the police.

On Sunday, firefighters had to extinguish another brush fire, which was intentionally set in several different areas, on Kili Drive. Those fires burned three acres and did not cause any damage or injuries.
