A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to sell a stolen canoe on Craigslist.

Police said a 50-year-old woman reported her single-person outrigger canoe stolen in April in Hawaii Kai and later saw a Craigslist ad with a photo of a canoe that resembled hers.

Further investigation revealed the woman’s canoe was the one in the online advertisement.

The man turned himself in and was booked on suspicion of second-degree theft. He was later released pending investigation.
