Man arrested for allegedly assaulting police officer outside Pearl City nightclub

A 30-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a police officer and three other people were also arrested during a fight in front of a Pearl City nightclub about 4 a.m. yesterday.

The police officer, 27, was trying to stop a fight between two women when she was assaulted by a bystander.

The suspect, of Kalihi, was arrested following a brief struggle with other officers. He was later identified as the husband of one of the women involved in the initial fight.

The officer was treated for undisclosed injuries and released from Pali Momi Medical Center.

Also arrested were a woman, 28, of Wahiawa, for resisting arrest, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct; a man, 29, of Kapolei, for disorderly conduct; and a woman, 24, of Kalihi, for resisting arrest, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
