Police arrested a 59-year-old man Wednesday on suspicion of 22 counts of second-degree forgery, 21 counts of third-degree identity theft and one count each of second-degree theft and unauthorized possession of confidential and personal information.
Police said the suspect cashed a 65-year-old woman’s stolen and forged checks at a Wahiawa bank from Nov. 30 to Feb. 16.
Police said the victim discovered the checks and reported it to the bank.
The suspect was identified and arrested.

Does anyone even use checks anymore? In Sweden for example, they haven’t used paper checks for about two decades. Processing paper is just too expensive compared to electronic money transfers.
