Police arrested a 25-year-old man who allegedly kidnapped a 26-year-old woman 6:30 a.m. today in Kaaawa and allegedly stole her purse and car.

Police said the man pushed the woman into her vehicle, allegedly grabbed her keys and drove off with the woman in the front pasenger seat.

Police said the man stopped the car and she jumped out, but not before the man took her purse off her shoulder and fled in her car.

The man was found at his home by patrol units.

He was arrested at 7:55 a.m. on suspicion of kidnapping, second-degree theft and auto theft, police said.
