Police have charged a 35-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a 59-year-old man on Saturday.

Police said Simion Hengio struck the victim shortly after noon at Aala Park.

Hengio, who does not have a local address, was charged Sunday with first-degree assault. His bail was set at $50,000.
